Shabd by Simon-Alexander creates limited edition collections based on simple shapes with attention to fabric combinations and compositions. Known for bringing tie-dye to the forefront of fashion, she has earned the reputation as one of this generation’ s leading dye-artists.
Bodkin seeks to bring to clothing the mission of architectural modernism: Good, smart
design. Within this design framework, all materials are sourced with an eye toward
environmental and social good.
Lauren Manoogian creates jewelry and knitwear that reflect her attraction to unusual
materials and playful sense of color and scale.
Erin Considine makes handmade jewelry in her Brooklyn studio from brass and hand-
dyed fibers.
Better Late Than Never is designed by Sara Dudzinsky. She draws inspiration from the
materials she works with as well as vintage and antique objects of all kinds. Each piece is
constructed by hand in her home studio in Portland, Oregon.
Alyson Fox creates limited edition pieces that are sold under the name A Small
Collection. Her sculptures and jewelry reflect her always-curious nature.
Katy Krantz creates ceramic objects and mixed media collages that reflect the dynamic
process in which they were made. Chance, surprise and the transformation of material all
play an important role in her work.
Shino Tekada creates functional ceramic objects. Playing with color, textures and shape
she achieves a delicate balance of unusual design.
Clam Labs handcrafts tableware for people who love to cook, eat, and entertain.
Every piece begins on a manual kick wheel and is finished with hand mixed, food safe
glazes.
Lines & Shapes is an independent art and design book publisher, based in Brooklyn,
New York and Portland, Maine.
Saipua soaps are carefully crafted in small batches using food-grade vegetable oils,
butters, herbs and extracts. Each bar is hand cut, air dried and cured in their workshop.
BAGGU® makes simple, high quality bags in many bright colors. They fill many uses so you can own less stuff.
Nightwood is a small Brooklyn-based furniture, textile and home outfit specializing in
their own deconstructed furniture and textiles. The two halves of Nightwood are Myriah
Scruggs and Nadia Yaron.
Fort Standard is a contemporary design studio founded by Gregory Buntain and Ian
Collings. Their work is a fusion of craft-based backgrounds and timeless materials
paired with progressive design prowess and emerging technologies focusing on domestic
products and furniture.
Highland is a contemporary Menswear label by Lizzie Owens: psychedelically practical.
Samma is a jewelry line by New York-based artist Hanna Sandin. Sometimes sculptural,
sometimes soft jewelry that goes by the Swedish name for “same,” Samma.
Serena Mitnik-Miller is a San Francisco-based artist. She has exhibited her work in San
Francisco, Venice Beach, and New York. She opened her own shop, The General Store last year.
We are located at 200 Livingston Street between Smith and Hoyt. Open Wednesday to
Sunday from 12-7pm, May 5th to May 31st.

SUNSET CIRCLES
April 19th, 2011SUNSET CIRCLES is a collection of work from a circle of artists contributing to or inspired by the Sunset, an artistic community nestled in the dunes of San Francisco. A circle of artists gather in a neighborhood pillared by the sea, they gather ideas and draw inspiration from the wild and unrefined scenery, and the community they’ve cultivated amongst it. The underlying theme of the work celebrates a circle emcompassing the minimal, natural, handmade and organic forms, materials and resourcefulness that the artists, through simple, bold, and intricate expression, brandish in their reverence for their pelagic community.
